Halloween

The season starts with the going and getting pumpkins!  Such a beautiful day to take a hay ride out to pick out pumpkins.  We went to a farm (we'd never been to for pumpkins) and it had everything you'd want for this wonderful tradition...everything but a REAL pumpkin patch!!!!  They dumped their pumpkins(and not the good ones) in a "field" for you to pick out!  We didn't have much time and so we picked from what was available and enjoyed the moment to laugh about through the years!  :)

On one Sat. we took the younger girls, while the others were at a youth conf.,  to the 8th annual pumpkin regatta.  It was fun.  My costume wasn't done in time though. :(
THe girls wanted to be pirates for this event and Darren happily supported it.
Golfing into floating pumpkins.  Darren made a shot in and won a free dinner!

The people floating in the pumpkin behind us were the winners of the floating pumpkin race.
                                                      We enjoyed the huge pumpkins

This one the girls enjoyed because it had a seat area.

I like this shot because you not only see the race but you see an empty pumpkin.
My sweet daughters with llamas.  They were both very unsure but they did get to feed them a carrot.

Then came the Halloween parties.  We let the girls host parties since we didnt hold birthday parties for T and H this year....

what a handsome crew!
The "fruits" of their labor--and it was a lot of walking--we found out that this area isn't so trick or treater friendly.

Go Falcons!

This year Taylor consented to trying cross country as an after school activity.  After going to Taylor's first race, Hannah decided that it interested her as well.  They only had three races and I forgot the camera for the first two!  Alas, here is the last race and the girls in action!  I am SO proud of them both!!!  Yea Girls!
